1. Agreement to Terms

By booking an appointment or utilizing our salon and online booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our associated Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not book services with Kim Du Salon.

2. Appointment Reservations & Deposit Terms

Kim Du Salon is a high-demand boutique salon located in Yorkville, Toronto. Because our master stylists dedicate specific blocks of time exclusively to each client:

• Credit Card Guarantee: A valid credit card authorization or deposit is mandatory to hold all appointment slots.
• Pre-authorization: Pre-authorization holds may be verified prior to confirming calendar slots.
• Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance incur a 50% charge of the reserved service; cancellations under 24 hours or missed appointments (no-shows) incur a 100% full fee charge as liquidated damages for reserved stylist time.

3. Professional Consultations & Hair Assessments

All services begin with a mandatory consultation to examine hair elasticity, underlying pigment, chemical damage, and scalps. Clients are legally obligated to disclose any past box dyes, henna, metallic salts, perms, or medical sensitivities before chemical treatments commence.

Allergy Testing: If you have experienced prior reactions to hair dyes or bleaching agents, a complimentary 48-hour patch test is recommended before full application.

4. Pricing, Estimates, and Quotations

All prices quoted on our website or menu (e.g. Balayage starting at $400, Colour starting at $150) represent base minimum rates. Final pricing may vary depending upon hair density, length, required toner formulations, and restorative treatments. Any price variance will be explained by your stylist during your initial consultation prior to beginning the service.

All fees are billed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable Ontario Harmonized Sales Tax (HST 13%).

5. Punctuality & Late Arrival Policy

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. We grant a 15-minute grace period for unexpected Toronto transit delays. If you arrive later than 15 minutes past your start time, we may need to shorten the scope of your ritual (e.g. omitting blow-dry) or reschedule your appointment to avoid delaying following guests; late cancellation fees may apply.

6. Satisfaction Guarantee & Revision Window

Kim Du Salon takes pride in delivering exceptional hair artistry. In the unlikely event that your color tone or cut requires an adjustment, please notify our salon within 7 days of your service date. We will happily schedule a complimentary corrective adjustment with your stylist. Due to the customized artistic nature of salon services, payments are non-refundable.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permissible under the Consumer Protection Act (Ontario), Kim Du Salon and its stylists shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from undisclosed chemical histories, home product interventions, or client failure to follow recommended aftercare guidelines.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any contractual disputes arising from services rendered at Kim Du Salon are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
